EIGH says long I
In 'height' and 'sleight', EIGH says the long I sound.
How this rule works
EIGH usually says long A (eight, weight), but in 'height' and 'sleight' it makes the long I sound “eye” instead. The GH is still silent.
Remember: Look at the height — EIGH says I!
