Suffix -SION (“zhun”)
After a vowel, -SION buzzes to “zhun”, like in 'vision' and 'division'.
How this rule works
When -SION follows a vowel, it makes the voiced “zhun” sound: vision, division, confusion, explosion, invasion. (After a consonant it says “shun” instead — mission, tension — see the companion rule.)
Remember: -SION after a vowel buzzes — a vision of division!
